You speak out against a target within range, the target makes a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, before the spell ends, the target rolls a d4 and subtracts the number rolled to the next ability check. It can roll the die before or after making the ability check. The spell then ends. On a successful saving throw the target knows you tried to sway their beliefs.
