While this spell is active, whenever a detection or message type spell is cast within 30ft of you, you can either cast the spell back at the caster of the detection spell (i.e. if you are being scried on, you can scry back on the caster) or cause a synaptic discharge at the caster dealing 6d8 psychic damage on a failed INT saving throw.
