All creatures in a 30ft cone make a WIS save. On a success they take 4d8 psychic damage. On a failure their beliefs in their cause, self worth, relationship, community, or nation are shattered along with the psychic damage. They roll 1d6 on the table below to see what their reaction is.
This effect lasts for 7 days with a roll each morning to break the spell. If the target fails each day for the total length then they full turn from their old belief.
Roll | Outcome |
1 | Fear: The target has a fear of what they once held dear and attempts to flee from it. |
2 | Anger: The target grows angry and resentful towards it, possibly doing something rash. |
3 | Hate: The target puts all of their motivation behind dismantling their old belief. |
4 | Revenge: The target attempts to destroy or kill the perpetrator of the belief. |
5 | Dismissal: The target simply walks away, never to put any thought or consideration into the belief again. |
6 | Loathing: The target takes a path of self destruction, choosing actions that will lead to their own ruin. |
